World-class technical training, qualified faculty, academic transfer, and successful partnerships with business and industry are just a few of the many opportunities available through Northshore Technical Community College. Today's industry standards require technical training and skills enhancements necessary to build career opportunities throughout the lifespan. The faculty, staff, and administration of Northshore Technical Community College maintain academic and industry-approved credentials to fulfill the college mission: "Northshore Technical Community College is committed to providing quality workforce training and transfer opportunities to students seeking a competitive edge in today’s global economy".

Northshore Technical Community College provides locations throughout the Northshore at the Sullivan Main Campus in Bogalusa, an Instructional Service Center in Slidell, the Hammond Area Branch Campus in Hammond, and the Florida Parishes Branch Campus in Greensburg. Fall 2012 enrollment census data indicated a total credit student enrollment of 3,136 students while additional noncredit student enrollment averages 1,500 students annually. Technical and academic program offerings include career training and academic transfer opportunities in health sciences, industrial technology, business services, computer technology, and general education. Critical partnerships with business and industry provide direct job placement opportunities for graduates in all fields.

The Workforce Development Division located at the Hammond Area Branch Campus serves the college by providing various training ventures for our campuses and business and industry stakeholders. These ventures include but are not limited to customized, incumbent worker, non-credit, and rapid response training initiatives for existing business and industry in addition to industry locating to the region. Partnerships with Southeastern Louisiana University, the Northshore Health Care Alliance, WIA 20, and the WIA First Planning District have provided training opportunities for dislocated workers as well as those incumbent to the industry.

Signature Programs include a nationally recognized Models of Change program serving at-risk and adjudicated youth, YouthBuild Bogalusa; currently ranked 15th in the nation, Toyota T-TEN, funding through the Mine Safety and Health Administration for mine safety training, Work Ready U; serving adult learners, Dual Enrollment for five school districts, and Connect to Success; a partnership between Northshore Technical Community College and Southeastern Louisiana University providing seamless transfer opportunities for students seeking transfer between institutions.

NTCC is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education. The college is a participant in the annual Salzburg Global Leadership Seminar and provides various scholarship opportunities for students provided by business and industry in addition to the Sullivan Vocational Foundation, DEMCO, and the Ray Smith Memorial Foundation just to name a few.
